- The upper hook is attached through two individual split rings instead of on a clevis.  Both split rings are size 5 2X heavy split rings rated at 110 pounds each.  This feature ensures strength and durability and doesn't allow the fish to get any leverage on the bait.

- Also standard on all DockBoy Lures Bucktails is heat shrink tubing over the back O'ring and hook.  This increases hook-up percentages and decreases the likelihood of entanglement in the skirt or in cover.  You will also notice that the wire bend at the front of the bait is not a perfect circle, but more of a half loop.  This is done on purpose and acts like a rudder to keep the entire bait from spinning in the water.

* All skirts are reinforced with a tiny zip-tie to ensure the skirt will stay on the bait and not break apart.
